I am a life long member of Sudbury Credit Union (SCU) and reside in Copper Cliff. I retired in 2024 with 27+ years of service from the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC), my last position being a Manager of Valuation and Customer Relations. My work experience reflects my proficiency in real estate and property valuations for residential, commercial, and industrial types of properties.
I have served on the Board of SCU as a Director for over 20 years. I have been a perennial member of the Audit Committee for SCU and have served as Chair of the Audit Committee for multiple years. I have extensive experience in the regulatory environment that guides the Credit Union system and over the years have partaken in various Director training and education opportunities to improve my skills.
I am proud to be part of the SCU Organization and the principles and ideals that we have promoted the years- namely the support and well-being of our SCU members, our employees, and the local Sudbury community.
Sudbury Credit Union is a financial co-operative providing banking services to the Greater Sudbury community. It's a not -for- profit organization that is owned by its members and who's head office resides in Sudbury.
I am fully committed to running again as a director for a 3 year term. I totally support Sudbury Credit Union's goals and enjoyed representing its members by being on the Board.
In the past 3 years, I have sat on the Governance, Nominating and Audit and Compliance Committees and I am strong in all of the 9 required competencies. This experience has allowed me to develop abilities, skills and knowledge that has helped me be a productive director for Sudbury Credit Union.
I was a dedicated employee and branch manager at Sudbury Credit Union for 17.5 years serving our members and my colleagues. During this time, I learned how important the Credit Union is for us as members, what the Credit Union movement stands for, and the roles it fulfills with our employees, our members, our community.
At present, I am actively involved in our Greater Sudbury community as a volunteer with the Inner-City Home Food Bank and volunteer at Delta Bingo for the Knights of Columbus. I was a board member for the Sudbury Network North Hospital Foundation Board and sat on the St. Andrew the Apostle Parish Finance Committee for several years.
In my spare time, I am an avid sports fan and active hockey grandmother to our 2 grandchildren both of whom play on local rep-level teams. Cheering them on with their teams give me great joy. I also enjoy travelling, reading autobiographical books and spending time on Manitoulin Island in the summer.
I truly appreciate your steadfast support and I look forward to my ongoing commitment to Sudbury Credit Union's success.
I am a dedicated professional with over 18 years of experience in the addictions and mental health field, working within a charitable organization.
I am passionate about supporting individuals facing adversity, helping them build personalized recovery plans, and empowering them to take control of their journey. I thrive in working with diverse populations and collaborating with community agencies that share the same commitment to inclusion and support.
Beyond my professional life, I am a proud mother of three adult sons and have been happily married to my husband for 13 years (together for 16). We take great pride in our boys and love seeing them grow and prosper.
I have a deep love for the outdoors. Whether off-roading in my Jeep, snowmobiling, camping, hiking, or boating, I find joy in adventure and exploration – all of which is with my family!
Other than work and family, I volunteer on the VTM board, supporting local trails, safety and fundraising. Currently, I am also supporting Sudbury Cruisers with their fundraiser for this summer.
I am eager to serve on this board to expand my knowledge, contribute my experience, and be part of an organization that makes a meaningful impact on the community.
